York County Senior Centers need volunteers to help deliver and prepare Home Delivered Meals throughout all areas of York County. Meals are currently delivered three days per week on Monday-Wednesday-Friday. The time commitment is flexible from one 3-4 hour shift per month to multiple 3- 4 hour shifts per month. Drivers are assigned a designated route for delivery. Delivery drivers pick up the meals by 10:00am at local senior centers and deliver meals throughout the area. They check in face-to-face with the older adults at the time of the meal deliveries. Several local centers also need kitchen help preparing and packing the meals. Volunteers must possess a valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance. A criminal background check is required.
