- About Glenn Hope Care Farm: Situated on 43 acres of farmland in the heart of York County, PA, Glenn Hope Care Farm offers on farm activities to veterans and their families, including horticulture therapy, animal husbandry, submersion in nature, hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, agricultural classes and special events.
- About the event: Rock with the Veterans is a day of live music on the farm! This Mardi Gras - themed event is a partnership between Glenn Hope Care Farm & the SHINE Music Foundation.
- Volunteer responsibilities: Volunteers will help with refreshments, registration, and other tasks as assigned! Volunteers with music skills and interests will be invited to assist youth participants as well.
- Volunteer requirements:
- Volunteers must review and complete the Glenn Hope Volunteer Waiver.
- Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
- Supplies provided: Supplies will be provided by the Community Partner.
- Transportation: SVN staff will reach out to volunteers to coordinate a carpool and/or van shuttle, if available. Volunteers may drive themselves. All volunteers are required to complete the SVN transportation waiver, unless they are travelling via a YCP-provided shuttle.
- Arrival instructions: The Team Leader, or a team member designated by the Team Leader, should text the Community Partner (Aimee, 717-891-7797) when the group leaves the YCP campus. An ETA should be included in the text. When the group arrives to Glenn Hope Care Farm, the Community Partner will meet them and provide additional instructions.
