- About the organization: York Fresh Food Farms Community Gardens started with one garden at 351 Cottage Hill Road in 2017. Project Manager, Annalisa Gojmerac, now manages 4 community gardens in the City of York. two new gardens were added in 2022.
- Volunteer responsibilities: Volunteers will help to weed, add to the compost bin, and other important tasks to get the garden ready for the winter.
- Volunteer requirements: Volunteers will be asked to complete a Registration & Release Form at the start of the project. You can review the form here ahead of time.
- Volunteer considerations:
- This is an outdoor community garden. There are no bathrooms on site.
- Wear closed-toed shoes, warm clothing, and layers!
- Supplies provided
- The community partner will provide all supplies that are needed for this project.
- Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves if they own any!
- Transportation
- Volunteers who can provide their own transportation are invited to sign up.
- Additional carpooling may be coordinated for volunteers who can't provide their own transportation. This will depend on the availability of carpool drivers.
- If there is a large group of volunteers who need transportation, a van shuttle may be arranged.
