- About the organization: A Great American Small Town, West York Borough Was Established In 1904 And Was Formerly Known As The Village Of Eberton. We Are Home To The First Fire Department In York County Aka Station 1. West York Has A Proud History Of Being Home To Manufacturers Such As Ashley Baily Silk Mill, Martin-Perry Corp, Barnes Wallpaper, Penn Furniture, Pfaltzgraff, And Martin Carriage Works. Just As We Have Enjoyed A Rich History, We Plan On A Brighter Future Making West York Borough A Great Place To Open A Business And Call Home.
- About the event: West York Borough is hosting a 2-day Halloween celebration! The celebration includes pumpkin carving, a movie night, a Jack-o-lantern walk, a mechanical bull, and more.
- Volunteer responsibilities: Volunteers will help with one or more of the following areas:
- Event setup and teardown
- Submit Jack-o-lanterns
- Booth/ station assistants for...
- Photo booths
- Snack & drink station
- Kid snack & drink station
- Paint station
- Bounce house and ride control station
- Mechanical bull station
- Movie screening
- Date & time: This volunteer signup is for Friday, October 27 from 4-10pm. There is a separate signup for 10/28.
- Supplies provided: The Community partner will provide all supplies that are needed for this project.

- This event will take place in West York, near the West York Borough Building.
- Volunteers should go to the West York Borough building (1381 West Poplar Street, West York, PA).
- When volunteers arrive, they should call Shawn Mauck, Borough Manager, at 717-542-7591. Shawn will come to meet the volunteers and assign them to specific tasks at that time.
- Transportation: This project is open to volunteers who can provide their own transportation. If carpooling and/or shuttle becomes available, SVN staff will update this listing and notify volunteers.

- Volunteers who are not available for the whole time (4-10pm) are still free to sign up, BUT they must drive separately, AND they must contact Shawn Mauck directly to share that they will need to arrive late and/or leave early.
