- About the event: Walk A Mile In Her Shoes is held on Thursday, October 6, 2023. Walk a Mile is focused on community coming together is solidarity for men ending men’s sexualized violence, towards women and fem presenting folx. All proceeds support YWCA York’s Victim Services programming for survivors and victims of sexualized violence in York County, ensuring free, safe, confidential, and comprehensive services to lead towards wholistic healing for themselves and their families. - Volunteer responsibilities: Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks to promote the success of this event! Specific volunteer assignments will be communicated by the event organizers prior to the event. Some options include:
- Set up & cleanup
- Registration & t-shirt tables
- Greeters
- Shoe rental table
- Participant bag organizing
- Date & time: Volunteers should be available anytime between 3pm and 8pm on Thursday, 10/5. The actual walk begins at 6pm.
- Location: WellSpan Park, 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York, PA 17401
- Supplies provided: The Community partner will provide all supplies that are needed for this project.
- Transportation: Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation for this event!
