- Overview: STEAM Pods provide hands-on, experiential opportunities to students in grades K-5. Each STEAM Pod is 6-8 weeks in duration, meeting once a week between the hours of 5-8:00 p.m. STEAM runs full year. Examples of STEAM Pods include simple machines, kitchen chemistry, airplanes, optical illusions, basic line drawing, color theory, forensics, and more.
- Volunteer responsibilities: The STEAM Partner will assist Salvation Army staff in providing hands-on, experiential opportunities to students in grades K-5.
- Volunteer schedule: Volunteers can sign up to help with one or more STEAM Pod sessions throughout the year!

- Submit up-to-date clearances.
- All volunteers must submit a up-to-date Child Abuse Clearance and PA Background Check.
- Volunteers who do not have a PA home address must also submit an FBI fingerprint-based background check.

- Supplies: All supplies are provided by the Community Partner.
- Transportation: Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation.
