About us: Devers Community Garden is a neighborhood bird garden with all native plants. There are learning stations throughout the garden about the flowers, birds, & insects. We also have a free little library, a dog library, and a giving tree that neighbors change out throughout the seasons.
- Event overview: We will be raking the garden, spreading straw, taking down summer items for storage, changing out signs, decorating for fall, pulling weeds, cleaning benches and murals, and more! snacks and drinks will be provided.
- Location: Intersection of Pacific Ave & Parkway Blvd, York, PA 17404
- Date & time: Saturday, 9/9, from 9am-11am
- Volunteer requirements: Wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
- Supplies provided: All supplies will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gardening gloves if they have any.
- Transportation: This event is open to volunteers who can provide their own transportation. SVN staff will also work with volunteers to determine whether or not a carpool will be available. If a carpool becomes available, volunteers will be contacted and this listing will be updated.
