The York Community Resource Fair is an annual community event in which residents from across the York region can connect directly with dozens of local agencies, service providers, and resources.
This year, the Resource Fair will offer Narcan training, HIV testing, information about housing assistance, resources to respond to bias and discrimination, and much more.

Volunteer shift date & time: Saturday, September 23, 2023, 11a-3p
Volunteer responsibilities:
- 11a-12p: Volunteers will help with event setup from 11a-12p
- 12p-3p
- Volunteers will help with games, activities, and supervision in the children's section. This will allow parents to more fully navigate & engage with resources available at the fair.
- Volunteers may also be asked to help with a variety of tasks, such as counting & greeting visitors, helping with logistics at tables, and helping to tear down/ clean up as the event concludes.
Volunteer transportation: This event is open to volunteers who can provide their own transportation. SVN staff will also work with volunteers to determine whether or not a shuttle or carpool will be available. If a shuttle or carpool becomes available, volunteers will be contacted and this listing will be updated.
Supplies: All supplies will be provided by the event organizers.
