Starting January 15 through March 7, we are offering weekly volunteer hours every Thursday for our Cooking Up Connection youth program. YCP students will gaining hands-on experience working with elementary and High school aged students in a creative, supportive learning environment. Program Details:
When: weekly on Thursdays from Jan 15 – March 7
Time: 3:30–6:30 PM (students may volunteer 1, 2, or all 3 hours)
Location: York College Center for Community Engagement (Kitchen) | 59 E. Market Street, York, PA 17401
Clearances: Volunteers must obtain their PA Background Check and Child Abuse Clearances and submit them to volunteer@ycp.edu prior to volunteering. If you need assistance obtaining these clearances, please contact Daphney Adams (dadams21@ycp.edu).
Volunteer Roles Include:
- Culinary & classroom support during hands-on cooking classes
- Youth mentoring
- Video documentation and storytelling for community impact
- Program support, setup, and kitchen organization
