The United Way of York County is seeking YCP volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in spring of 2026. This opportunity requires a commitment of a couple hours each week during the tax season, and will take place on York College's campus (exact location is TBD).
Volunteers MUST complete the IRS required training, which can be completed virtually. Information on how to complete the training will be shared after responding to this opportunity and attending the associated virtual info session on Friday, December 5th at 2:00pm. The VITA program provides access to free tax preparation and assistance to families and individuals making less than $67,000 annually. In spring 2026, tax appointments will be offered in-person at York College for York College students, staff, and faculty. Each return is completed and reviewed by IRS-certified tax preparers.
