Who We Are
These events are run by Working Progress - just a girl and her YCP alum husband who run great events for York City!
Working Progress is the company currently contracted to run York City Special Events. Working Progress is made up of Kate Harmon and Matthew Davis, and aside from doing YCSE, the two also run Restaurant Week.
Kate Harmon is a recovering newspaper reporter and editor with over a decade of experience in content, editing, and social media. Since then, she jumped headfirst into the land of York's nonprofits where she currently runs Give Local York, raising millions of dollars for hundreds of nonprofits each year. She has many years of experience in marketing and development, fundraising, and event planning in Pennsylvania and Florida.
Matthew David received his MBA at York College, was a professor of Economics/Robotics/3d Printing/Programming, is a resident of downtown York, and has co-founded two other companies in York: CrocodileDog Marketing and York City Pretzel Company. Over the last 10+ years, CrocodileDog Marketing has run a total of 35 events ranging from 600 to 20,000 attendees and raised more than $100,000 for local non-profits. Those festivals include Taste of Pennsylvania, Yorktoberfest, What the Food Trucks, Brew Kids on the Block, and Hibrewnation.
