Friends of Lebanon Cemetery

Friends of Lebanon Cemetery is dedicated to the promotion of African American cemeteries in York County, Pennsylvania by honoring the memory of those interred in their folds through historic research, documentation, education, preservation, restoration and community engagement.

Through volunteer efforts, we work to uncover the rich history of York County's African-American burial grounds by researching, identifying and documenting the people interred in these cemeteries, linking familial ties, preserving and restoring not just their locations but their stories.
