Project Designers are volunteers who work behind the scenes to develop new volunteer opportunities - for themselves and others!
Designers may collaborate with SVN staff, faculty and staff partners, and local community partners to hone their design plan. Project designers should use this Design Plan template, and completed design plans can be sent by email to volunteer@ycp.edu. The amount of time you spent on designing a project can be submitted on the SVN portal as volunteer hours.
You will be added to our Project Designer freelancer list. We'll reach out if we need a Project Designer to create a design plan for a potential project. You can also feel free to design and propose your own projects. Additionally, all Project Designers are eligible to participate in the Compass Program, which promotes, recognizes, celebrates, and rewards volunteer leadership.
Remember to select the Project Designer user group any time you are submitting hours in the SVN portal for time you have spent developing a new project!
