Volunteers will assist with sponsor outreach, event promotion, participant registration, day-of coordination, setup, and teardown. You will learn about the importance of legal advocacy for immigrants. This content will be published in blog postings and newsletters.

Volunteer to create a social media presence for Sparrow Place! The focus of Sparrow Place social media should be educating the public on trafficking. Sparrow Place is currently on Facebook and Instagram, and would like to expand into TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube. Volunteers would be tasked with creating a content schedule, creating Sparrow Place branded content, and training existing volunteers to help.

Volunteer with Sparrow Place and help with website design! This volunteer opportunity includes determining if Sparrow Place should pursue an alternate site provider and organizing the site with new strategic planning initiatives. Volunteers will be responsible for organizing the site to 1) offer help to those currently in or recovering from sex trafficking, 2) educate the public, 3) update donors on current Sparrow Place happenings, and 4) offer opportunity to join efforts (to donate and to join as volunteer).

The Regional Coordinator for the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Youth Action Campaign (YAC) coordinates the program at a regional level (61 counties in Pennsylvania). The Youth Action Campaign informs youth ages 13-24 about IHL and encourages youth to build a peer-to-peer awareness campaign on an International Humanitarian Law topic.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit Campaign Coordinators and teams of youth IHL advocates from your region to participate in the program.
• Commit 2-4 hours a week during the implementation of the campaign.
• Report data related to metrics to regional staff in a timely manner.
• Communicate as necessary with Divisional Leadership
• Participate in the monthly call during the implementation of the program.
•Support IHL YAC Campaign Coordinators in overseeing their teams
• Ensures all Advocate teams receive training from Campaign Coordinators
• Shares programmatic guidance from NHQ with Campaign Coordiantors
• Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.

Development Opportunities
• Expand knowledge base about International Humanitarian Law
• Mentor youth and develop their capacity for service
• Enhance leadership and communication skills
• Build relationships with the Red Cross, volunteers, and community partners

Qualifications
• A passion for working with youth and an interest in IHL.
• Excellent project management, group facilitation, and communication skills.
• Must display flexibility, adaptability, initiative, and teamwork.
• Must possess the ability to present politicized issues in compliance with the American Red Cross’s neutrality mandate.
• Experience working with youth, the Red Cross, and IHL is preferred.
• Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.
• Either over 18 years of age and/or spent 2 years participating in the IHL YAC

Volunteers will assist with social media content creation, website updates, and marketing campaigns using platforms like Canva, AI tools, and other marketing software. This opportunity is ideal for students looking to develop digital marketing, graphic design, and communications skills while spreading awareness for a nonprofit that impacts families in need.

Calling all sorority, fraternity, and college chapter members! Be a key liaison between Chasing the Rainbows and campus organizations to help spread awareness, recruit volunteers, and organize fundraising or service events. This role gives you the chance to build leadership skills, coordinate events, and make a real impact for families navigating pregnancy and infant loss.

Volunteers in this role will:

Connect with Greek life and other student organizations to promote events and volunteer opportunities.

Help organize campus-based awareness campaigns, fundraisers, or service projects.

Build relationships with chapter leaders and national organizations to grow Chasing the Rainbows’ student network.

Gain hands-on experience in outreach, communications, and nonprofit leadership while boosting your résumé.

We are the Barshinger Creek Preservation Alliance, and we exist to advocate for the property at 150 Country Club Road in Red Lion, PA.

A grassroots, community driven organization, we fought off property developers and now we are interested in conserving the 58-acres of beautiful, natural wetland in our community.  Our mission is solid and we are currently in the process of getting the property appraised in hopes of purchasing it so that we can have an outdoor classrom/green space for all of York County to learn from and enjoy!
