Assist our organization with social media campaigns, brochure creation, website redesign and other marketing campaigns. We are proud of our legal advocacy. We want stakeholders, donors, and potential clients to know the value of our work. You can help us accomplish that!

Create "how to" and "info session" videos related to immigrant legal services. The final products are for internal and external use. Some video creation may require visiting the local offices.

Gain valuable skills in fundraising (development) by compiling relevant funding source information from across the country. We have opportunities for you to support development events planning. You will also research partner organizations, peer to peer and online fundraising best practices.

Utilize your interviewing and writing skills to champion the organization's mission and vision. This opportunity will give you a chance to interview staff as well as board members. You will learn about the importance of legal advocacy for immigrants. This content will be published in blog postings and newsletters.

Volunteer to create a social media presence for Sparrow Place! The focus of Sparrow Place social media should be educating the public on trafficking. Sparrow Place is currently on Facebook and Instagram, and would like to expand into TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube. Volunteers would be tasked with creating a content schedule, creating Sparrow Place branded content, and training existing volunteers to help.

Volunteer with Sparrow Place and help with website design! This volunteer opportunity includes determining if Sparrow Place should pursue an alternate site provider and organizing the site with new strategic planning initiatives. Volunteers will be responsible for organizing the site to 1) offer help to those currently in or recovering from sex trafficking, 2) educate the public, 3) update donors on current Sparrow Place happenings, and 4) offer opportunity to join efforts (to donate and to join as volunteer).

The Regional Coordinator for the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Youth Action Campaign (YAC) coordinates the program at a regional level (61 counties in Pennsylvania). The Youth Action Campaign informs youth ages 13-24 about IHL and encourages youth to build a peer-to-peer awareness campaign on an International Humanitarian Law topic.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit Campaign Coordinators and teams of youth IHL advocates from your region to participate in the program.
• Commit 2-4 hours a week during the implementation of the campaign.
• Report data related to metrics to regional staff in a timely manner.
• Communicate as necessary with Divisional Leadership
• Participate in the monthly call during the implementation of the program.
•Support IHL YAC Campaign Coordinators in overseeing their teams
• Ensures all Advocate teams receive training from Campaign Coordinators
• Shares programmatic guidance from NHQ with Campaign Coordiantors
• Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.

Development Opportunities

• Mentor youth and develop their capacity for service

• Build relationships with the Red Cross, volunteers, and community partners

Qualifications
• A passion for working with youth and an interest in IHL.
• Excellent project management, group facilitation, and communication skills.
• Must display flexibility, adaptability, initiative, and teamwork.
• Must possess the ability to present politicized issues in compliance with the American Red Cross’s neutrality mandate.
• Experience working with youth, the Red Cross, and IHL is preferred.
• Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.
• Either over 18 years of age and/or spent 2 years participating in the IHL YAC
