This is a great service opportunity for employee engagement, youth groups, and individuals.

When & Where:
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, events at over 90 cemeteries will take place across our nation at 10:00 a.m. (local time) at participating national and VA grant-funded cemeteries except Quantico and Alexandria in Virginia and Baltimore in Maryland, which will start at 9:00 a.m. (local time). Volunteers may arrive 30 minutes prior to start times to prepare for activities.

Volunteer: COV and SafeKeepers Shrine Ceremony

Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 1pm from the PA Avenue side of the cemetery, we will hold a ceremony honoring our local veterans that have received medals of valor or heroism and First Responders that have died in the line of duty.  This opportunity would be to assist in marketing of the event prior to the event, fundraising as this event is at no cost to the honorees or attendees and looking for exhibits to attend. Scheduling is flexible, please reach out to Alicia if interested in volunteering.
