Volunteer: Floor Associate @ Keystone Kidspace (multiple shifts available)

About the organization: We are a STEAM makerspace for kids and their grownups. At Keystone Kidspace, kids can have fun while learning about science, technology, engineering, art and math through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities and unique classes.

Volunteer responsibilities: You will have the opportunity to play, craft, create, and tinker alongside children and their parents during open play times. 

Volunteer requirements: Volunteers must complete the following PRIOR to their first volunteer shift with Keystone Kidspace:

Submit the following up-to-date clearances to the community partner before their first volunteer shift: PA Access to Criminal History (PATCH) Background Check  Child Abuse History Clearance Participate in a Keystone Kidspace New Volunteer Orientation Session. These take place 1-2 times each semester. Contact Jenn Borden (jborden@keystonekidspace.org) to join an upcoming volunteer orientation session.

Shifts available: Volunteers are needed for the following shifts. Shifts take place during the fall semester (September-December) and the spring semester (February-May). If you are interested in volunteering during the summer months, 

SATURDAYS from 9:30a-2p SATURDAYS from 1p-5p SUNDAYS from 11:30a-4:30p

Attendance policy: Keystone Kidspace provides transformative opportunities for kids and families from York. Volunteers are vital to this work. As such, it is crucial that volunteers are committed, dependable, punctual, and high-communication with the Community Partners at Keystone Kidspace.

Once you are signed up for one or more volunteer shifts, you are expected to show up. If you can't make it, you are expected to notify Jenn Borden (jborden@keystonekidspace.org) at least three days ahead of time (or ASAP in the case of emergencies). If you do not meet the expectations of the attendance policy, you may be asked to discontinue your volunteer involvement with Keystone Kidspace. 

Signing up: To sign up for an ongoing shift, complete BOTH of the following steps:

Email Jenn Borden (jborden@keystonekidspace.org) with your interest and availability. Jenn will work with you to confirm your volunteer schedule. Click "respond" on this volunteer signup listing. This will allow you to easily submit your volunteer hours after you complete your shifts.

Supplies provided: All supplies that will be provided for volunteers. 

Transportation: Volunteers must provide their own transportation for this project.
