We would like to invite YCP volunteers to support a very special event where our young people will be cooking and serving guests at the Dorrie Leader Advocacy Award event on March 31, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, located at 320 E. Market St, York, PA.
We are seeking volunteers to support in the following roles:
- Event Videographer/Recorder: Capture meaningful moments, including our young chefs in action, food preparation, and guest interactions. This documentation helps us share their growth and impact with the community and future supporters.
- Chef Assistant: Support the lead chef and youth participants with light food prep, plating, and kitchen organization. This role helps ensure a smooth and empowering experience for our young chefs.
- Event Runner: Assist with filling gaps throughout the event, including transporting items, supporting setup and cleanup, and helping ensure everything runs efficiently.
- Volunteers must wear all black.
This is a powerful opportunity for volunteers to witness youth leadership in action and contribute to an experience that builds confidence, job readiness, teamwork, and pride among our participants.
Volunteers will gain skills in teamwork, event support, culinary operations, adaptability, and community engagement.
Food will be provided, and volunteers will be part of an inspiring event that celebrates advocacy, leadership, and youth empowerment.
