- Overview & responsibilities: The DIGS Reading Partner will support students in grades K-4 in meeting their reading tutoring goals. These goals are set by the Learning Center Director with assigned tasks for each student which will focus on hands-on/experiential learning. The DIGS Reading Partner will be assigned specific students to assist. This may be one-to-one or small group (read alouds). Training and all materials necessary for completion of tasks are provided.
- Volunteer schedule: This is an ongoing (Evergreen) project. Interested volunteers will work with the Salvation Army York to determine a recurring volunteer schedule.

- Submit up-to-date clearances.
- All volunteers must submit a up-to-date Child Abuse Clearance and PA Background Check.
- Volunteers who do not have a PA home address must also submit an FBI fingerprint-based background check.

- Supplies: All supplies are provided by the Community Partner.
- Transportation: Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation.
