Founded in 2015, The Movement of York helps connect people to the resources they seek.
Every Saturday we open our Food Pantry to the public, handing out various food and household items to families in need.
Volunteers are needed on Saturdays from 3-5pm. In addition to signing up in the SVN portal, volunteers must ALSO complete the Movement's Volunteer Signup Form (CLICK HERE) for each shift they're interested in. If the signup form indicates that the shift is full for a particular day, please do not sign up for that shift.
Volunteers are expected to provide their own transportation for this project. There is parking for volunteers in the parking lot behind The Movement. We recommend you dress for the weather, as some of our families need help carrying their items to their vehicles.
When you arrive to the building, please call 717-817-2289. This is the phone number of Anu Banks, the Director of the Movement. Let Anu know that you have arrived to volunteer with the Movement. He will let you into the building.
