About York Fresh Food Farms: We are committed to improving access to affordable, healthy, fresh food for everyone in our community, especially for families living in poverty and in food desert neighborhoods.
- Volunteer responsibilities: Volunteers will pull plants, weed and prepare for winter crops out of 3 high tunnels! Volunteers will also help to remove debris from the hillside.
- WEATHER NOTE: The high tunnels provide shelter from rain, so this project will move forward regardless of rain conditions on Saturday morning.
- Volunteer requirements: Volunteers must complete a waiver to participate in this project. Waivers will be available on-site for volunteers to sign, but they are asked to read through the waiver ahead of time. You can review the waiver here.
- Date and time: Saturday, 10/14, 9am-12:30pm (including travel time)
- Location & transportation:
- All student volunteers should meet on the YCP Wolf Hall Lawn at the start of this project. They will then head to their project with their team & Team Leader.
- Van transportation has been arranged for this project.
- Van driver: Daphney Adams
- Faculty, staff, and alum volunteers are free to drive themselves separately.
