Join The Arc of York & Adams Counties as we host a Valentine's Day Dance for Adults with Intellectual and Other Disabilities. This event will give adults 18 and up the chance to mingle, dance, enjoy snacks and light refreshments, and have an all-around great time centered on a Valentine's Day holiday theme.
Volunteers are needed to help with the following and your service hours will include:
- Event, room, and refreshments setup at the York JCC from 5:00 to 6:00 PM
- Mingling with attendees, dancing and interacting with them, assisting with crafts and other activities from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
- Event, room, and refreshments tear down and clean up from 8:00 to 8:30 PM.
If you volunteered for a Fall Fun Night event with us in October, the activities and duties will be similar.
PLEASE NOTE: Up-to-date criminal record, and abuse clearances are required as Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities are considered to be a vulnerable population. The Arc of York & Adams Counties will need copies of clearances prior to the event.
