The Horn Farm Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that fosters ecological learning through land stewardship, community partnership, and hands-on experiences. We animate our mission through a variety of land-based classes, volunteer workdays, and events.
- Workday Overview: We're seeking volunteers to help us paint a storage shed attached to our Summer Kitchen teaching facility. This shed houses tools for our community gardeners as well as our historic squirrel-tail oven for rustic cooking classes.
- Date & Time: Saturday, April 20th from 9am to 12pm
- Responsibilities: Volunteers will help us paint the shed and tidy up community garden tools if need-be.
- Requirements:
- No prior painting experience required.
- Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes appropriate for wall painting.
- Supplies: The Community Partner will provide all supplies. Pizza lunch provided after the work gets done!
- Arrival Info: when you arrive at the Horn Farm Center, pull into the dirt driveway that runs along the white fence by the farmhouse. You can park in the grassy field next to this driveway. We will meet at the Summer Kitchen: the small brick building adjacent to the farmhouse with the attached red shed.
