Who We Are
YCP Scout Club is a recognized student organization at York College of Pennsylvania. We are primarily comprised of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts alumni from programs such as BSA, GSUSA, Venturing, Explorers, etc. but we welcome anyone with an interest in the ideals of Scouting.
What We Do
The mission of the YCP Scout Club is to harness the knowledge and abilities of Scouting alumni and other students interested in the Scouting program at York College of Pennsylvania to create positive change in the campus and local communities and continue the missions of the Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of the United States of America.
Our club meetings and events focus on Scouting themes and topics such as civics, first aid, woods tools and knot-tying, fire-building, camping, and more. Since the Fall of 2022, we have worked collaboratively to support the New Birth of Freedom Council in facilitating leader training such as BALOO and district events such as Halloween Day. Presently, we are planning a Merit Badge College at York College of Pennsylvania with merit badges to be taught by College students, faculty, and staff.
